Food Service Admin

Amentum is seeking a Food Service Admin to support the Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC) Mission in Andros Island, Bahamas. AUTEC is a Major Range and Test Facility Base (MRTFB) and the Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newports largest single team project, providing both deep and shallow water test and training environments. This position requires the individual to be eligible to obtain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Responsible for planning, controlling and evaluating food service functions.

• Managing budget resources and evaluating inmate acceptance of food quantity and quality.

• Establishing standards of sanitation, safety & security.

• Implementing and monitoring the food safety program, as well as administering the food program that consists of a wide variety of duties which includes all specialized functions.

• Supervises food preparation, ensuring compliance with the nutritional needs and evaluating the quality and effectiveness of services provided.

• Assists in the operation of all equipment and supplies, including a large subsistence storeroom of meats and vegetable coolers.

• Assists in developing detailed estimates and initial requests for the budget required to operate the food service facility, as well as approving the expenditure of funds.

• Must requisition all food supplies and equipment for the department and keep accurate and accountable records.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of specialized food service experience in quantity cooking, food preparation, menu planning and cost control of food preparation.

• At least 2 years of experience in food service finances, completing inventory and storage procedures for food supplies & equipment and procurement of food supplies & equipment.

• Must have at least 1 year of experience supervising personnel.

• High school or equivalent.

• Knowledge of planning culinary activities.

• Knowledge of portion control.

• Must be able to reside in remote work location with limited medical facilities.

• Valid U.S. passport will be required.

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government Clearance. Note: U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Additional finance experience is preferred.
