Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will support the research team in experimental tasks, develop the laboratory prototypes, and contribute with your expertise to ABB’s success by reinforcing our team of scientists and engineers. The work model for the role is: hybrid This role is contributing to the the Power Device Physics team at ABB research center in Baden-Dättwil, Switzerland. Main stakeholders are Electrification division. You will be mainly accountable for: Executing experimental tasks within the research team Developing and optimizing the 3D printing models. Assembling laboratory prototypes Performing laboratory tests and data analysis Presenting the test results to the research team Our team dynamics You will join a dynamic and high performing team, where you will be able to thrive. This position reports to Michal Studniarek.

Qualifications for the role
  • You are immersed in general experiences with 3D printing tools, CAD and LabView and the technology market
  • Ability to work in a large research team and hands-on experience in general laboratory work
  • You are passionate and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical/Mechanical engineering, Physics, or related discipline (advanced B.Sc. or M.Sc.)
  • You are at ease communicating in English
  • You hold current valid VISA/work permit for Switzerland or a confirmation for a mandatory internship from you university
