Product Manager, Search AI, Google Cloud

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelors degree or equivalent practical experience.
  
• 4 years of experience in product management, consulting, co-founder or related technical role.
  
• 2 years of experience building and shipping technical products.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in Machine Learning and building search applications.
  
• Experience managing developer-facing products (e.g., APIs, services for developers, Open Source projects, etc.).
  
• Experience in software development or engineering.

Vertex AI Search is next generation search powered by Generative AI and powering Generative AI applications like agents, search engines, digital assistants, and more. Developers use our search and Generative AI APIs to build their own search applications or to ground Large Language Models to their data. We have recently launched grounding of Gemini on Google search and a suite of APIs to power Gen AI and search applications.

Responsibilities

• Work with partner teams (e.g., Engineers, Program Managers, UX) during product design and development to implement the requirements to turn PRDs into OKRs for one or more teams.
  
• Develop and secure buy-in for a product strategy that identifies, defines, and supports the overall product narrative and direction, achieving an outcome that is greater than the sum of its parts.
  
• Validate the market size and opportunity (e.g., user-based, strategic opportunity, growth).
  
• Drive launches, maintenance, and retirement in collaboration with other cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  
• Own some of the Search platform APIs, developing the product roadmap, while closely working with customers to understand requirements and gaps.
