Your Role
The Regional Director is responsible for owning and developing the sales, source market and channel development strategy of Glion and Les Roches for the region of GCC (UAE, KSA, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Yemen). The Regional Director will build and manage a regional network of salespeople and Educational Counsellors (ECs) and will also manage direct recruitment activity where applicable. You will take the lead in the region on managing key EC and agent accounts, partnerships, defining and delivering acquisition targets for new agents and managing commercial terms with this network. The role holder will also implement the High School strategy across the region.
Key Responsibilities
Regional Strategy Development:
- Collaborate with the VP Enrolments to devise a comprehensive three-year strategic plan for the region, focusing on channel differentiation, lead generation, and brand enhancement.
- Drive channel development, EC and agent relationship management, and in-market campaign activities.
- Formulate and execute marketing plans aligned with the regional strategy, leveraging digital, PR, and alumni engagement initiatives.
Market Development:
- Maximize recruitment targets by providing market analysis, devising annual sales and marketing plans, and executing promotional activities.
- Stay abreast of market trends and promotional opportunities to maintain a competitive edge in the hospitality education sector.
People and Team Leadership:
- Recruit and develop top talent to build a high-performing regional team.
- Provide leadership and support to team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous development.
Events and Seminars:
- Organise career counselling sessions, guest lectures, and campus visits to drive brand awareness and student engagement.
- Facilitate industry partnerships and thought leadership events to enhance the schools reputation.
PR & Media Management:
- Manage regional PR and media activities, including campus visits, industry partnerships, and local events.
- Cultivate media relations and promote Glion and Les Roches institutions through various channels.
Educational Counsellor Network Development:
- Recruit and train ECs/agents, providing support materials and coordinating with school representatives.
- Manage commercial terms and relationships with the EC network to drive student recruitment.
Academic and Industry Relations:
- Develop academic partnerships and industry collaborations to expand student recruitment channels.
- Identify opportunities for student exchange programs, internships, and scholarships.
Digital Marketing Planning:
- Collaborate with the Creative and Digital Marketing Director to develop and execute digital marketing strategies.
- Monitor and optimize digital channels to improve lead quality and conversion rates.
Budget Management and Reporting:
- Manage regional budgets to achieve recruitment and revenue targets, providing regular reports on performance and market insights.
Sales Effectiveness and Compliance:
- Ensure high service levels for agents, parents, and students, supporting sales training and development initiatives.
- Uphold legal and financial compliance standards across regional operations.
About You
Bachelors degree or higher with a minimum of 10 years experience in international education or luxury hospitality sales and marketing. With proven leadership skills in building and managing successful sales operations. You will have a strong track record in international student recruitment and key account management. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a multicultural environment. You will be proficient in English; Arabic language skills desirable, with the willingness to travel extensively and work independently.
