​Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and manage enterprise AIX environments, including components such as LPARs, VIO, NIM, and HMC/IVM.
  • Operate, maintain, and scale Linux and Unix systems alongside their supporting infrastructure (storage, hardware, networking).
  • Participate in planning and executing new infrastructure initiatives while enhancing and optimizing existing systems.
  • Provide second-level support within the established support organization, including participation in on-call rotations.
  • Ensure adherence to security standards, backup concepts, and change management processes.
  • Utilize Ansible to automate operational tasks and improve system efficiency.
Your Profile
  • Degree in Computer Science (University or University of Applied Sciences).
  • At least 5 years of practical experience working with IBM AIX (versions 7.1 / 7.2 / 7.3).
  • Strong understanding of enterprise storage technologies (SAN, NFS, GPFS) and PowerVM virtualization.
  • Initial hands-on experience with LPAR and VIO administration.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience managing Linux environments (preferably RHEL) and proficiency in scripting (Shell, Python, Ansible).
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and best practices.
  • Fluent in English; German skills are an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally (approximately 5?10%).
  • Strong analytical mindset, ability to prioritize effectively, and a reliable, responsible work approach under pressure.
