The mission of our 40 employees is to provide efficient and high-quality service to Rotarians in Europe, Africa and the Middle East and support them in attaining the objectives of Rotary.As per immediate availability or upon agreement, our Membership Growth and Experience Team in Zurich has an opening for anMembership Growth and Club Experience Specialist - (100%) Africa & The Middle EastOverview of the PositionThis Position is a vital member of the Membership Growth and Club Experience team who is responsible for supporting and strengthening the club experience and driving membership growth and retention in a defined geographic territory. You serve as the primary liaison to district governors, governors-elect, governors-nominee, assistant governors, club presidents, and other volunteers responsible for membership attraction, member engagement, new club development and public image. In collaboration with Rotary International directors and other senior and regional Rotary leaders, you will oversee the overall progress of membership goals and strategies for your assigned territory.Your Contributions to the Team
You are responsible for supporting and strengthening the club experience while driving membership growth and retention in Africa and the Middle East and will serve as the primary liaison to district leaders, club presidents, membership chairs, and volunteers for member engagement, attraction, new club development, and public image.
You help guide, train and support zone, district and club-level volunteers with innovative ideas, strategies and resources to advance membership goals, support and strengthen Rotary and Rotaract clubs, deliver a valuable club experience, foster member engagement and retention, improve membership diversity, and form new clubs.
You provide guidance and support on member acquisition opportunities through our prospective member programs, and events or projects designed to connect with prospective members.
You are a trusted advisor to club, district and regional volunteer leaders on governance matters, and positive culture-building.
You handle several administrative tasks pertaining to the organization of new clubs.
Travel to the assigned regions can be expected at least 2-3 times per year.
What you bring
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience, and at least 3-5 years in a customer service role
Proficiency in English and French is essential
Highly structured and well-organized person who knows how to set priorities with a firm commitment to providing outstanding customer service
Strong team spirit while appreciating working independently
Ability to interact with high-level international business leaders and volunteers in their respective languages and in a culturally sensitive manner
Professional demeanor and proven ability in oral and written communications, including public speaking, presentations and promotional writing
Excellent MS Office skills
Keen interest in, and familiarity with the culture of the assigned regions
