Job Purpose

A defense company based in Abu Dhabi is seeking a seasoned engineer with a passion for cutting-edge antenna systems and secure communications.

You will join a dynamic team at the forefront of advanced technology, where innovation meets impact.

As aPrincipal Engineer – MIMO SDR, you’ll lead the design and development of high-performance MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) and phased array antenna systems for secure, scalable communication platforms. This is a senior technical role ideal for someone who thrives in R&D environments and enjoys solving complex engineering challenges

Key Responsibilities

• Research and Development: Lead R&D efforts in MIMO antenna technologies and phased array systems.
• Design and Optimization: Design and optimize electronically steerable antennas for high-performance applications.
• System Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate antenna systems into broader platforms.
• Testing and Validation: Develop and execute testing methodologies to validate system performance.
• Documentation and Reporting: Document technical progress and present findings to stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field. Advanced degree (Ph.D.) preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in antenna system design, with a focus on MIMO.
• Deep expertise in:

MIMO theory, beamforming, and signal processing

Electromagnetic simulation tools (HFSS, FEKO)

RF design tools (ADS, Microwave Office)

Matlab-based MIMO system design

• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Experience with:

FPGA/ASIC design for MIMO PHY

Embedded C/C++ for DSPs

Real-time optimization and parallel processing

AI/ML enhancements in MIMO systems
